They provide for fatigue strength. They also provide for proper running gear alignment which prevents fretting.

Concrete formwork tie rod can be in cold rolled and hot rolled.

Cold rolled tie rod is in steel grade S235 and S450.

Hot rolled tie rod is also called rebar in steel grade ST500 -1100. Hot rolled rebar popular steel grade is in ST 830, ST 930 ST1100 in concrete construction.
